The kick of the ball. The sweat coming off the players faces. The ball going into the goal. We all know the game of soccer or what some people call football. Soccer isn’t just screaming and looking pretty, it is a game filled with determination,hard work,and especially teamwork. One of the key components of paying soccer is to put pressure on your opponent and make them uncomfortable forcing them to mess up and make mistakes.

You must be fast and have the stamina to keep up with the opposing team and your teammates, but you will also need to keep the quality to keep the balls intact to keep your opponent from stealing your ball and making a goal.

David C. a midfield player stated,”My favorite thing I love to do is make goals and to keep on conditioning to keep me in good shape.”

The training does get boring but you must fight the boredom and keep the repetition to become a good soccer player. Soccer isn’t all hard work but it’s having fun and enjoying the game.

“Push yourself through the sweat and pain.” those words were said by Coach Flores the 7the grade coach. This year’s 7th grade soccer team will be one of the best we’ve had in our 20 year history here at HMS. Keep scoring 7th grade and let’s make this the best year of soccer.
