On October 4th. 2018 the 7th grade Heritage volleyball team defeated Kirby Middle School in an epic showdown. A-team defeated Kirby 25-27 and B team defeated 25-8 with players of the game, Tiffany with 7 serves in a row , Simaya with six serves in a row and Valerie with six serves in a row.

      Shelby Hoffman (player of the game) stated that the coaches taught her to get the “bump set hit” in order to get the ball over the net. Her goal was to slide on the floor and hit the ball and she was able to accomplish it . She also stated trying to think positive was easy to do throughout the game and the hardest thing was getting the ball to set.  

This week was another week in which the 7th grade A-team brought home another win. Currently  the 7th grade A-team is still undefeated on the season and are seeking a STAC District Championship at the end of the season.  This year’s team is extremely talented and has all the pieces needed to make a run at the title. The biggest obstacle will be keeping the team focused and taking everything one game at a time.  Be sure to come out and support the Lady Canes as they fight to stay unbeaten on the season.
